We're sorry to hear you've been involved in an accident - but we're glad to say we can help.
First of all, you must inform your insurance company of the accident as the event could give rise to a claim; most insurers need to know within 24 hours.
When you ring the insurance company, find out a few things:
If you're not sure, check how much your excess is; this is the amount of money you will have to pay towards the claim.
Find out if making a claim will affect your no claims discount, and if so by how much
See if your policy allows you to have a courtesy car while your vehicle is being repaired
Then, with that information to hand, give us a ring at PMC and tell us about the damage. If you do make a claim, we can deal with your insurance company and do the repairs, so you can be confident that your vehicle is in the hands of someone you trust rather than a company you don't know. However, you may find it's much better to do the repair without making a claim. That's because the repair may cost less than your excess plus the loss in no claims discount. By talking to us, we can advise you of the best way to save you money.
